Belmont men, 6-0 start in OVC
Belmont women, 7-1 start in OVC

Keep it up Bruins!

The men seem to be getting out to a quick start, then they "rest" on a big lead that gets chipped away....making us have to step back up to get a decent lead. It's almost like they're too good for our own good. I think Ian put it in "basketball speak" on Channel 4 after the TSU game when he said something about how they need to learn to maintain intensity.

I was one of about a couple hundred at the Belmont/Eastern Kentucky women's game tonight. I've concluded that the women have a slightly different problem than the men do. Unlike the men, the women seem to get off to a very slow start. They don't seem to really work that hard until after half time. Like tonight, we trailed or tied (mostly trailed) the entire first half. Then we win by 16?

Our keys to success: The men need to give 100% and not give up a big early lead. The women need to get a big early lead, then play the way they have been in the second half. That said, both teams seem to be second half teams.

Go Bruins! Beat OVC!

I've watched a few of their games on the net and I would agree with you. I hope they learn to get it started from the beginning when they begin post season play.
