I think it's a real "slap-in-the-beak" (Byrd beak) that we don't get better recognized than MTSU. But, maybe it helps keep us under-the-radar in the local media to where we can hopefully sneak up on a few folks around tournament time.

I don't think we will be sneaking up on anyone this year. Tournament teams know who the Belmont Bruins are...I just wish we could lock an at large bid and get a second OVC team in it. We are the best team in the OVC but one slip up in the conference tourney and it could be the NIT. Although....we did play a tough non-conference schedule this year and played well. If we continue to dominate the conference and somehow wound up losing in the tournament....i think we have a better chance this year than ever to get in with an at large bid.

I agree. The only barrier might be if we drop a first round conference game. Joe Lunardi's bracketology has us as a 1 OVC loss #13 seed playing against UCLA (history repeating itself........except this year, UCLA isn't what they used to be, and we're a lot better than the last time we played them). I've seen other bracket forecasts that have us as a 5 or 6 or 7 seed, running the table in the OVC regular season and conference. Let's keep our fingers crossed!
