Chimps getting ready to give me the ziggy
I've been civil and quite mild with them. Yet they are now pouting like small children because I occasionally point out some holes in their "happy talk." They are so used to happy talk that anything but causes confusion and hysteria. Granted the girls up there look like horses and the guys look like they eat venison jerky 24/7, but this level of insecurity isn't healthy in a college graduate.

I like having these dopes from EMU here. Sure they're morons, but they add to the conversation and they have the nards to defend their beliefs.

Not much better here.....We are getting our own "happy talk" crew, they try and counter any critical thinking or any post that doesn't goose step the company line and what they want people to feel with their nutty, overzealous happy talk, very chimp like.

What's really bad is making predictions and acting like they've already been realized. 01-wingedeagle

I'm going to give Fleck the benefit of the doubt too, and also some time (three years would be fair uinless priogram totally implodes) to see progress before passing judgment.

I just don't honestly feel hiring an inexperienced, rookie head coach who had to assemble a staff rather than a proven successful header who would bring his own assistants (like Molde for ex.) is the answer.

My suspicion, and only that, is Fleck will prove to be an outstanding coach, tried in the fire at WMU, we will be added to the MAC cradle of coaches list, before he moves up the ladder.

OR

Will prove to be one of those potassium like flash in the pan guys at the HC level.

I doubt very much he will ever be a run of the mill, one foot in front of the other, kind of guy.

I am betting on the former. Might be a little dicey early getting off the ground.

No different over here, I stop by and throw a couple jabs and end up with a negative rating (not that I give a Bronco's arse).

I don't mind your bball takes on our site, and the smack talk is cool in moderation. I'll give you credit, you've been man enough to admit you were miles off on your prediction of a winless season in the MAC for CMU. Now you're saying 3-4 wins, which is also gonna be wrong.

4 of 6 on the road down the stretch and you still have to play Akron, Kent, and UT again. First half of your schedule might give you a sense of false security.

But I'll admit, Keno has got more out of less than Hawk ever could.

But I'll admit, Keno has got more out of less than Hawk ever could.

Games I expect us to have a reasonable shot at winning:

home/road NIU (they're just plain bad; a sweep is not out of the question)
home/road WMU (hoping for a split, but your bigs will cause us major problems)
road Buffalo (they're below average; that said, it's on the road)
home Miami (two teams with some similarities, we need this one)
home Toledo (another toss-up)
road BSU (not holding my...ahem...horses)
home EMU (played our worst game of the season at the Convo, time for revenge)

I left out at Akron, at Kent, home Ohio. Getting one win in those three games would be a miracle.

So if we go 3-6 in the 9 other games, that puts us at 5 MAC wins. 5-4 in those 9 games, which is certainly feasible, would give us an overall record of 14-15 with 7 MAC wins (didn't count Bracketbuster).

Difference between myself and some of the CMU faithful - I see the impact Randall has and recognize that with him gone next year, the team dynamic completely changes. A bunch of guys will have to grow up in a big hurry, or we'll be taking a step back.

Yeah, I agree on the Randall comment.

Good gawd, trying to talk sports with some of these guys is like being in a "Resource Room" (Sped, for those not familiar)

One guy pointed out how he comes to the WMU site regularly, and they squabble over everything. "It's pretty amusing to watch," he said.

For some of these dopes, the concept of critical thinking is as foreign to them as a well proportioned female.

Most outsiders laugh at our board because we can't go a week without a full on assault against each other.

Hey I agree with the guy from CMU who said this place is amusing. But when opinions are simply throwing out the company line it gets boring, and frankly is not realistic. They were all against Enos, now they're all for Enos......................"He's leading us back to a championship culture."

That's certainly an exaggeration. We aren't "all for Enos."

I'm pleased with a winning season and a bowl victory, but a good number of our fans recognize how many quality wins were included in the seven we got.

As for this place being amusing...man, there are days where I see certain thread topics and I know it's time for
