RE: Recruting Concern
Rivals stars certainly aren't the end-all, be-all as evidenced by our Orange Bowl appearance and our best player being a 2-star with ONE offer to play quarterback.

But to say they're meaningless is silly. We've done exceptionally well at not just "coaching them up" but finding guys Rivals doesn't know are that good. There's nothing wrong with finding those guys, *and* finding guys Rivals *knows* are good. That needs to be our goal. The higher-end 3-star guys we used to not even waste our time with....I say we jump into talks with those guys now. Like others have said, we do have a lot to offer.

Go look at Florida State's roster and take 10 minutes looking up some of the names you recognize on Rivals. Not many 2-star dudes. To go to the BCS and BEAT some of those teams, we do need to snag a few athletic studs.

RE: Recruting Concern
i wouldn't worry about rivals rankings if I were you guys. Obviously your coaching staff / scouts / etc are doing a great job of finding and developing talent. Trust me, WMU had several classes that were near the top of the MAC since i've been a fan and they never seem to turn out that way in the end.
