Hmmph....I stand corrected. Why do we have 5 of his rings in our HoF room? 01-wingedeagle

One of them must be for something else, I guess.

Marshall is guaranteed to pick up one, or two depending on the winner, that meet the criteria. I have to pull for the 49ers because I would like Moss to get one before he's done (even though he doesn't meet the criteria).

Honestly I just wanted to make a list of players who have been on the field recently. I know we all have super bowl winning alums. But some of these guys, we have actually seen on the field recently. I wasn't looking for a history lesson, just for guys I have seen play in person lately.

Just updated to add the Ravens players.

UCF has Jah Reid on the Raven's too. So we have one on each side.

I got a chuckle out of this. My wife is often admonishing me for answering the question that she asked, rather than the one she thought she was asking.

Yea, Epic Failure on my part. I assumed we all defined CUSA 2.0 as 2005-2012.

Ahhh. Thanks for the info. My Rice newbieism is showing, then. We've been calling CUSA 2.0 the version coming up (with UH/SMU et al departing and UTSA, MTSU et al joining). With football teams having joined the conference in 1995, 1996, 2001 & 2005, maybe the version number should be even higher than 2.0. :-)

Michael Boley (linebacker) won it w/ the Giants last year right?

He did win a SB last year, but predates C-USA 2.0 by one year.

Jay Ross was still with the Green Bay when they won with CJ Wilson. Jay has his ring too.

I guess this year Vonta Leach is the only Pirate in the game, but he was pre-2005.

Although I realize WKU is not a CUSA member but Jim and John Harbaugh (coaches of the Ravens and 49'ers) have lots of ties with WKU football. Their father, Jack Harbaugh, was the head coach of WKU when the Hilltoppers won the 1AA National Chamionship in 2002. Both brothers also helped their dad recruit, fundraising, etc. during their father's 14 years as head coach at WKU. Also, their brother-in-law, Tom Crean (current head coach of Indiana's basketball team) was also assistant coach for the Hilltopper basketball team during that same time and met the Harbaugh sister Joani. Lot's of WKU connections to this Super Bowl....at least on the coaching side. Former WKU football coach, Wilie Taggart is also best friends and close family member of the Harbaughs and was assistant coach at WKU during Harbaugh tenure and was assistant coach at Stanford under Jim Harbaugh before getting the head coaching job at WKU.

Chris Boniol: 1 ring with Cowboys
Fred Dean: 2 rings with 49ers
Doug Evans: 1 ring with Packers
Johnny Robinson: 1 ring with Raiders
Matt Stover: 1 ring with Ravens

....so many responses not acknowledging op...like my response to this post....but as mediocre of a QB as Harbaugh was, it is one of my few interests (in the NFL) in seeing how they define their legacy henceforth ....doing pretty good so far

I'm pretty sure none of the CUSA Miners have any rings. Even historically, we don't have too many that I can think of off the the top of my head.

Tony Tolbert, DE, Cowboys (XXVII, XXVIII, XXX)
Chris Jacke, K, Packers (XXXI)
Seth Joyner, LB, Broncos (XXXIII)
Lee Mays, WR, Steelers (XL)
Don Maynard, WR, Jets (III)
