That drive and score by Rubles with 2min to go and UC up 2 was just huge...great drive through traffic from top of the key.

He needs to do MORE of this and less mid/long range jumpers imo

He had a great game overall, just not shooting where he was 1 for 8.

He should drive and score, drive and dish, or drive and get fouled.

RE: Rubles
Yeah, he's one of the few willing to take contact. And he's a pretty good FT shooter. I agree he should stick to driving and maybe work on finding an open man to pass to.

RE: Rubles
Kid is a great passer, he rebounds very well, solid FT shooter. I think he had 12 pts 10reb....most points from the line.

He can have high assist games too because he is a good passer.

Overall I really like Titus, i think he's a gamer...but he needs to focus on driving and attacking the rim rather than shoot jumpers, esp three's. Its just not his game (at least right now).

RE: Rubles
His rebounding is impressive. Grabs 8+ nearly every game it seems. And I don't know how many times he kept it alive by getting a hand on it and swatting it out. For a guy that can't really dribble with his left hand he actually does a pretty good job of taking care of the ball too.

Granted, he has the ugliest looking three I think I have ever seen at the major college level.

It would be nice if JJ could contribute like he did last year. I'd like those two on the floor together.

I agree. The thing I liked most about that drive is he finished with his left hand. I haven't seen him use use left hand or go left effectively much at all. He appears to need to get the ball back to his right hand even when driving left. If he can improve going left and using his left hand to finish he will be more dangerous driving the ball.

We all know that in general, juco's take a year to adjust.

Think how good he will be next year.

RE: Rubles
I think the interesting thing about Rubles is he was handling the ball at the point quite often against MU. I was surprised how well he handled the ball. I had seen him dribbling and passing before, but not to this extent. Moreover, he usually had a 3 or 4 guy on him. Those guys had a hard time guarding Rubles. He was driving and manuvering on a 6'8" guy that could not come close to staying with him. He's a versitle guy to say the least.
