Title Changed: I am looking forward to the Arena Football League Season
I am anxiously waiting for the start of Arena Football. I noticed there is no board for AFL (wish there was, but maybe not enough fans at the boards), so since you have the VooDoo, Force, and others in or close to C-USA, and some of our conference players turn up on these rosters (I saw one USM player on the Rattlers for at least a short time last season) I posted this thread hopefully getting some to get in a discussion and maybe show enough interest a board might be worth the owners putting one up.

I am an Arizona Rattlers fan, but after them, I like the VooDoo.

There's a Barclay's Premier League double-header on right now. Liverpoll is looking good.

not exactly the football I had in mind. Maybe I should have been more specific and said Arena Football League.

VooDoo! Took my son to his first game last year, he had a blast. Where else can you end up playing catch with the defensive coordinator and the DBs before the game, like my son did?

Yeah one of the greatest parts of the league is you can talk with the players of either team before, during and after the game. One of my neighbors went to a Rattlers game and their seats were close to the visiting team's area, they told me they were asking one of the coaches questions when it was possible and the coach answered them in a very nice and informative manner. After the games, they do have the players stay around and the fans can go talk to them for a full 30 min. period.

I went to one game and it cost me a total of $60 for everything. Great game, great entertainment, and the cost was so low it didn't stress my budget.

Agree. My son loved getting to high-five players on the field after big plays. The DC took plenty of time to talk with us before the game too. Plus we got to go on the field and get autographs after the game.

RE: Title Changed: I am looking forward to the Arena Football League Season
Last season we were scanning the tv and we ran upon a telecast of a Rattlers game. We decided to watch although I had seen Arena games years before that, I had pretty much dismissed it. We got to watching and found the Rattlers were so fun and exciting to watch, we made a point to watch them again, and then we decided to think about attending a game. We called and got a package where the tickets were so low priced that we got tickets to 4 games (3 we gave away because we don't like to be out after a certain time at night) but we totally fell in love with the Rattlers. I was impressed with the offensive execution of the teams (especially the Rattlers, it was like watching the Saints offense to some degree) and I followed them all the way to the title. I strongly recommend if you like offensive minded football, and want a family friendly, low priced event to go to, you take in one of these games. I doubt all will like it as I do, but I suspect most will.

My favorite helmets in all of pro football = Iowa Barnstormers. In a league that changes helmets on a regular basis, they have used that same design for decades and in other Arena leagues when the big league was inactive.

Arena ball is definitely something you have to see in person to appreciate. TV doesn't do it justice.

Exactly. It's not traditional "football", but it's a great spectator game.
