Considering someone posted the BE "meeting notes" and there was "No action being considered for Southern Mississippi".. i'd say no, he has no clue.

Bye Bye so miss enjoyed while lasted. My two teams that I always said as long as Marshall in a conf with ECU and So miss I would be happy now both gone. Oh well life goes on its just college football a sport I USED to love has been ruined. If you think your doing the right thing congrats on the move. I wouldn't get to concerned just yet goherd17. Nowadays anyone can write a blog, and about 90% know nothing more than the message boards we read. That's why I was wondering what kind of reputation this guy has. I think he's just blowing smoke myself.

I wouldn't put much stock in Southern Miss leaving. I don't have any inside information although I do know how to go about getting it, but I am not concerned enough about it to even bother. I think the BE thing has to settle down before USM would even seriously consider it.

He's the new Owls beat writer. He started this past season. Seems to be reliable at least for FAU news. Not sure about everything else.

Southern Miss is not considering it. At this time our leadership views the BE as no better than CUSA maybe even worse.

Dieter is a great beat writer, might be one of the best college beat writers South of I-4
