Well we have played both teams, Southern Miss should win this one pretty easily, SMU seems to have depth issues and does not have much explosiveness on offense. Just my take

A road win is always a positive thing and I'm thinking that USM will positively win.

...our two problems are size and t/o (sometimes can add foul trouble)

If they lack depth, then I like our chances more...still Larry Brown can coach and to me this could be a let our guard down game...Tyndall will be key to this game more than most....this is a very important game from an at large perspective

Southern Miss is 4-3 vs teams with a winning record.

I like our chances.

We are so far away from an at-large berth, it's not even worth discussing. SMU plays pretty solid fundamental defense, but offensively, the only thing they seem to do very proficiently is get to the FT line. If we can limit that, I like our chances. It's on the road so SMU will get some calls which may make it tough on us. In our losses, opponents are averaging 30 FT attempts a game. In our wins, the average is 18. If we can keep SMU under 20, I like our chances.

I think the battle for the placement of the "U" goes to the beginning and not the end.

not really (at large is already being talked about...which is nice), but you are spot on with the foul trouble portion

this one won't be an easy game....but maybe Tyndall continues to surprise...excited to watch this one
