Wonder if he'll also import Schiano's slogan from Rutgers: F.A.M.I.L.Y. (Forget About Me, I Love You)

...which isn't so much a motivational slogan as an 8 year old's slightly above average acrostic poem homework.

I predict PJ will be hearing a new phrase after 2 years at WMU, it goes like this: "ummmm, I'm sorry PJ, but we're no longer in need of your services...."

Agree, but I think he'll get 3 years.

After that, I could see him as a HC at maybe the D3 level. We'll see.

He's have to win 3 or less games in 2013 and 2014 to get canned after two years. WMU typically doesn't waste a bunch of money on buyouts. Year 3 would be realistic if he doesn't perform.

I rather hope that he will credit Coach Novak for those words...or at least not continue to give the impression that he came up with them on his own.

I think those words are from the U of Michigan and were borrowed by Coach Novak
Shembechler started using the motto at Michigan in 69, but he came from Miami. Not sure if he coined the phrase at Michigan or brought it with him from Miami. Pretty sure that Novak picked up at Miami. They (Mich&Miami) both still use it.

Personally, I think we should credit it to Cawoo.

My prediction is that if he is given time he will be a successful head coach in the MAC.

Accepting the NIU O coordinator job for one day was not his finest hour. However, judging him from everything that he gave to NIU as a player and receivers coach, his NFL experience as a player and a position coach and his experience at OSU and Rutgers he has has a solid background and some great experiences to draw on.

Is he in over his head? perhaps ... however if he is able to build a strong staff I wold not bet against him. He is a hard worker and an infectious personality. My only regret is that his opportunity came with a school in the MAC West. Otherwise I would be rooting for his success every step of the way.

Well, I would say he is off to a great start taking one of NIU and Toledos top LB targets from Romeoville. A 3 Star recruit. Say what you want , but this guy will get players. Under no circumstances should a guy be able to walk into the back yard of an Orange Bowl team from the same league and take a guy like this. This is not a good sign for the current staff. Fleck has assembled an impressive staff too!

That's nice. I don't mind sharing it with Coach Novak and Coach Schembechler. PJ needs to recycle more stuff from Kaneland or Rutgers, though.

True, that enthusiasm can help recruiting a ton. Only question will be the coaching aspect.

When it comes to carrying out his vision he's going to expect his players to "Just Do It" and when things are tough, the players will have this poster in the locker room to draw strength from
