USU and SJSU stepping it up
These two teams really stepped it up the last couple of years. How possible do you think it is going to be to sustain their success in the MWC and are either really a threat to win a championship next few years?

If the new North End Zone project is any indicator, SJSU is fully committed. It's a $40 million dollar project that is over half way there in terms of fundraising and ground should be broken within 6 months. It will really dress up Spartan Stadium.

Sounds great! Have any pics or plans? Post them or a link, it'd be great to see what the Spartans have planned!

The next few years will be really telling for every school in the MWC. Are we gonna grab the bull by the horns and really compete for that lone spot?

I really hope so!

I'm real excited for the conference as a whole. It seems like almost everyone is really investing in their programs now.

Utah State has always had pretty good basketball. If San Jose can keep this up, the Mountain West will be fantastic in basketball.

Unfortunately SJSU basketball fortunes are declining right now-- and that is from a very mediocre level. We just had our two leading scorers removed from the team. We were, probably, headed for a .500 season. Now we won't approach that.03-weeping

Just lost their best two players for the rest of this year to injury. It's going to be a rough end of the season unfortunately for the Aggies.

SJSU has one thing going it that will create a great athletic program into the future: AD Gene Bleymaier. He is the one who built Boise State into the program it is today, and unfortunately, we were stupid enough to let him go. Our loss will be felt soon, and your gain is only beginning to show.
