Last year's team lost 3 in a row to end January. What are you talking about? They hit their stride at the end of February into March. The same thing I expect this team to do.

Guess we'll have to cross our fingers for the next day or two. I'd be extremely careful with him too, better to be safe than sorry.

Any road win in conference is good, especially when your best player goes down.
Cleveland Melvin should be in the NBA next season?

Melvin is a freaking stud and we have always have issues with him. If only we could land a big guy like him for once.

News from Cincinnati. Coach Mick Cronin said Cashmere Wright is day to day with a sprained knee.

I hope this isnt like Cincinnati Reds day-to-day.

That's great news if it's only a sprained knee. Time for others to step up.

I bet this is something we watch for the rest of the season. Cats have to go all out this Saturday to beat Marquette because going to the dome to play Cuse on very little rest isn't easy. After that the Cats have over a week off to heal up and regroup.

It's definitely something that we always have to keep an eye on with Cash every season, unfortunately. Knowing him he'll battle through the pain no matter what.

Great news about Cash. I have wondered if that is part of the reason we haven't been pressing and running as much of late. Wonder if the concern about backup PG has forced Mick to try and take it easier on Cash to ensure he holds up for the long haul. I know he wants to get Cash's Big East minutes down to 30 per game. We really need someone to step up and be able to take some of the load off of Cash and run the point more.

I thought Cash was really penetrating the holes in DePaul's defense all night. Parker did a good job of filling the hole once Cash left with the sprained knee.

RE: Game Thread: UC @ DePaul
Cash was toying with DePaul. He picked up right where he left off in the second half. If he wouldnt have sprained his knee he would have dropped 40 on them and we would have won by 20 going away. I havent seen a more dominant performance by a Bearcat since Steve Logan.

That being said, DePaul was putting a ton of pressure on him, he was handling the ball a ton, and he was playing stifling defense. Have to wonder if all that work was catching up to him and if he was tired maybe that led to him getting hurt.

PS- we are in big trouble next year unless Mick concocts a point guard because Guyn aint the man.

He may have to miss the Marquette and Syracuse game, would make sense because after Monday (1/21)..UC has 9 days off until their next game against Rutgers (1/30).

RE: Game Thread: UC @ DePaul
thank god the man didn't blow his knee....

will be tough without him, but just let him get 100%. as for missing the next two games....we would have most likely beaten marquette with him so that hurts. I don't see beating Cuse with or without him anyway sooooo.....
