Alright Tiger fans, tell me about former A.D. Richard Sander if you can. He's been named the interim all the way across the state at ETSU.
We're starting to clean up the bed he crapped in. Any scuttle on his reputation, how he was, trends, etc...?

Wow... Never heard of him and I'm guessing his mom and Houston Nutt's mom used the same baby naming book.

That is a painful sounding name.

RE: Richard Sander
While in Memphis he served as an Associate Athletic Director and worked with fundraising. He recently retired as VCU's a.d. and is known as the guy who built their arena and their program.
Just hoping some old timers on here remember him and can speak on the type of guy he was.

Sander was a high school basketball coach who got the job because of an influential booster relative.

We passed over an alum, former player and assistant coach who had dedicated his early career to Memphis State and was promised and groomed for the position.

Sander hung around maybe two years before bolting back to VA.

Typical Memphis politics.
