oh? ummm. let's see . . . OBAMA SUCKS!!!
yeah, see? I thought so . . . nothing.
ever heard of the arab spring? Also as for Obama didn't he just win re-election with over 50% of the vote?
I don't know how we got here BUT there is a big difference between an oppressed people under a dictator and a democracy where a month ago a candidate won with more than 50% of the vote.
We would have to be exponentially more screwed up than we are to elect a president and then attempt to overthrow him a month later.
thanks I tried to respond several times and never felt I accomplished it and gave up. You stated it well. Also I didn't want to turn it into a political discussion since my real interest in this thread is to try and get people to realize respect for others exist on the internet just like in every other walk of life and can affect the very interest you are representing.

Also many Louisville fans I encountered were obnoxious and ill mannered people that I just wanted to get away from, and that isn't even going into the mess at the beginning of C-USA that Louisville caused.
Louisville fans are the only ones I miss from the first round of defectors. They had a few obnoxious fans, but they also had some great ones (Wilkie, L-Yes, others).

I hate them, and I want to make their time on this earth miserable. That is also great. Plus, the ******* have their own board, so they shouldn't even be here reading what I write. They are only here to continue lording their superiority over us, either by outright condescension, or smug patronizing. I'm going to continue to wipe them off my shoes after I grind them into the dirt.
Couple of things here.
Personally, I respect the hell out of USM. I did before ECU got an invite to go elsewhere and will continue to no matter what happens with realignment down the road. I feel the same about Marshall. And for the most part, CUSA in general. Schools decisions (financial/upward mobility) do not necessarily reflect the opinions/desires of their fans all the time. Yes there are some posters on this board that are "blunt", "rude", "superiority complex", "forget where they came from", etc. etc. etc., but it doesn't mean we all are that way.
I've continued to say (with the BE appearing to now go away from this Western Plan) that USM, Tulsa, and Marshall should be looked at hard for BE expansion.
Having said all that, I can understand the emotions that all of us have gone through when it comes to this realignment BS.

I haven't been here very long so I just learning who are posters I will read and who I just might as well ignore, and figuring out the reputation thing. I do like this board and enjoy most people, some I have been really impressed by (Old Tiger is obviously one that deserves respect and has it) and the moderator (eastispurple or something close to that, sorry I just don't remember without looking back) seems to be one of the best I have encountered on any boards. I really am glad to be part of this board, and I hope I can add to it.

RE: Flaming fans hurt the school they claim to support and should stop it
In my amateur opinion, there are couple of traps that are easy fall into but should be avoided...
Don't let a limited number of highly vocal fans from a program become the "voice" of that program in your mind. If that was the case, only Rice would be respected around here, those folks almost never complain about anything.
Don't let a series of isolated rants over a frustrating instance or two become the "face" of an individual poster in your mind. We all have bad days.
However, no matter how hard you try, those are both pretty tough to avoid at times.

Nailed it...best thing about this board relative to EN or BG is you get the conference opinion...sometimes I stumble, but try to present facts and objectivity...IMO, is the best board for what I think you are looking for...

I think they're trying to reclaim that word from their political opposition.
