Hopefully Aresco is able to secure ESPN long term for basketball for the new Big East in 2014 which should be possible if the C-7 sign on with Fox. Just another reason C-USA sucks.

I think it also shows just how good a recruiter Pastner is. Our tv exposure over the last few years has been non-existent.

Very good point!

It is pretty funny that its more backwards now than it was in 98 or 99 when you could listen to the radio online. People just don't get it. Nobody will pay for crap service like all access which works less than half the time

Way to ruin a good mindless ill informed rant against the university.

I did that for a few years and the yahoo audio broadcasts for a few years before that and it's just not worth it. $10 isn't much but it's the principle. Overall the production is good, but I guess I just need more. I am hopeful that going into the Big East the whole "package" will be revamped tying in the website, highlights, the game broadcast and into on nice synched entity. I was on gotigersgo.com the other day and whatever I was looking at was weeks behind. Pitiful. A freshman out there could keep the web site up to date.

It is tough for out of towners.

Agree. TV and internet coverage is awful. Worst in 15 years.

03-hissyfit I am able to get the games that are on CSS down here in Florida on comcast and sometimes I can get a FOX game but not very often. I used to listen to the audio broadcast on internet from WREC but as you know that dosen't happen anymore. It is really frustating to not be able to get anything when you know the games are on. I even go to some bars to try and pick up a game but that does not always work either. Maybe the Big East will change some of this.

Its a crying shame, when I first moved out of town many years ago, I'd call dad to see how the game went and he would mail me CA sports sections every week or two. It is absolutely pitiful. Now you can listen and watch almost every game from anywhere in the world, but you are starting to have to pay for it. That sucks. I moved back home.

I have lived in Hi.,Ak. and now Fl. In Ak. I could get the radio over ip. Later I could buy it but it would freeze up alot. In Hi. I had to call the station and ask them to put me on hold so I could listen to the game. In Fl. now and it is even worse. May be my provider I don't know, but it does suck not to be able to enjoy my team play.
I don't know if the BE is going to be better. It is not just CUSA east?

Paying for content doesn't bother me. Having much of it unavailable to even purchase is one problem. Having most of the rest only available through a bait-and-switch operation with unscrupulous billing practices (i.e. not being able to opt out of "automatic renewal") is another.

If I could pay something like $3.99 (reasonable) to pay-per-view a single game on the internet, they'd make a lot of money from me over the course of the season (and would get more money per-game than the current subscription service for "All Access").

I'm 6 hours away from Memphis and 95% of Tigers games are televised here.

I can't remember a time when it was EASIER for me to watch Tiger games.

It was nice that 600AM forgot to black out the streaming feed like they were supposed to.

i would pay if there was a way to go back and watch a game if you missed it. That would be spectacular.

gotigersgo.com should offer that as part of a package. they should have ale carte; whole season all sports, football only, basketball only, basketball pay per view live, and replays of all of the above.

The MLB.com app for iPhone is free, but you can pay (like $2 or $3 per month) and that gives you access to live pitch tracking and some other stuff. Most importantly, it also gives you access to the radio broadcast for every single game, every single night (both home and away broadcasts for both teams that are playing).

But you can't listen to Tiger Basketball games at all.

Ridiculous.

Does anyone know if the Big East will have a contract with Sirius/XM that would broadcast all games or a certain number of games per week?

The number of hours I spend in my car, this would be awesome.

I have comcast's super duper sports tier and I can't see any of the games. We don't get fox sports south or CSS in Indianapolis. I do have CBS and NBC sports networks but we play so rarely on those. If you don't live near Memphis it is really bad

I should have had the foresight to get Elvis to invest in a Memphis superstation, like TBS, back in the day. And as the superstation made the Braves a household name, the whole country could have seen the Tigers play.
