Watching a Tiger Fly....
MissJTiger from Memphistigers.org posted these on that site today. DJ Stephens is a special kid as well as an athletic freak. He's now beginning to draw interest from NBA scouts. Both pics are a leap from a standstill position. DJ is 6'4"-6'5"....(can you believe USM, SMU, and Tulsa turned the kid down?) When his high school coach called DJ and said 'Pack your bags, you're going to Memphis!" DJ, not even dreaming that his coach meant the Tigers said "What school is in Memphis, coach?". DJ started crying when he found out Pastner had offered him. IMHO one of the best and smartest things Josh has done here.

RE: Watching a Tiger Fly....
1 star recruit turning into NBA prospect. Awesome story. Would have like to have seen DJ and Carney go at it in a dunk contest.
