Yeah, he's good and is going to be really good with more experience

That's about the only negative about him now. He needs to work on his back to the basket move when he is going to the baseline. He doesn't realize where he is. He could probably use his body better on the post up move to back the defender down some more. Overall you have to be very happy with his effort more than anything. I would still like to see him and Black play more together with Shaq on the high post and Black on the low post. That would keep them from doubling Black. It would also help us when teams zone us.

The rare times they actually allow Shaq and Black to play high-low it is magnificient. Why it isnt a staple of our offense is beyond me.

When Shaq and Black are in the game together the lane gets seriously congested because neither one of them can really shoot (Two defenders in the lane at all times). So when they both are in no it is very difficult for our guards to penetrate effectively. If Shaq can start hitting a 12 foot Jumper that would really help them being in the game together.

Did you see him take the wide open jumper from about the free throw line last night? He can hit 'em.

I got to talk to him for a good bit after the game last night, the kid is loving it here, says he will be here for till he has to leave. He is always smiling and loves interacting with fans, he was really surprised about the fan turn out last night. Becoming one of my favorites very quickly

I thought it was sorta funny he got T'd up last night. Of all the guys on the team to get a technical, Shaq is the least likely it seems.

The lane doesn’t get clogged when Shaq & Black are playing the high-low. Black is down low and Shaq is at the FT line. This set actually opens the lane not clog it. Our guards can penetrate at angles and Shaq could provide a screen. Shaq is already a good passer and in the high-low he can drive or shoot, go over the top to Black or Adonis, or pass it out.

I’m like some others here as to why don’t we use this set more. Not only would I play Shaq & Black more TOGETHER I would use the high-low until they stopped it.

And many teams wouldn’t be able to stop it.

Neither can shoot outside of 7 feet. How can you play hi/low without the hi man being able to shoot from the FT line? Next year with Nichols who can shoot, you will probably see it.

How does having 2 guys who cant stretch the floor open the lane, when both of the men defending them are standing in the lane 100% of the time. If Shaq can continue to hit an open shot from 10-15 feet then it becomes a much better set. If his man is going to play 1/2 way between him and the goal that really hurts everyone elses game.

I bet he's a heckuva football player too.

I think he played D-line in high school, but I am pretty sure he is going to play tight end for CJF.

My friend doesnt seem to understand that when you compare to normal freshmen, Shaq is long past the norm.
Rose and Evans both struggled at times and they were top players, future NBA rookie of the years.
Shaq is doing a tremendous job as a freshman.

sounds like you

Shaq can shoot and make a mid-range jumper. You're wrong.
