MAC and BCS 2013 (Season) 1/2014
Maybe it is the afterglow of a season in which NIU made a BCS game, but could it repeat after the 2013 season???

Is any MAC team, e.g., NIU, good enough to be ranked in the top 16 again?

Is any conference, e.g., Big East, going to tank again and not make top 16?

How good will NIU be in 2013?

Does their schedule favor a 11 (or 12) win season (exclusive of the MACC game)?

Ball St has a favorable enough schedule that it would not be out of the question for them to go undefeated if they get past NIU in DeKalb.

NIU faces Iowa and Purdue as top foes in their 2013 OOC schedule.

Beat those two and maybe NIU is on a run again.

Surely, the UT folks were not thinking of going undefeated (or once defeated) and going to a BCS bowl when they put that schedule together. 04-chairshot

Maybe some teams should schedule ala NIU and say let's shoot for an undefeated or one loss season. 03-idea

Ohio opens at BE tri champion Lville. A Bobcat win there and an 11-12 win season and they are in the BCS hunt.

Maybe come September we should have a thread: "Big East needs to go down for MAC BCS bid hopes"...

Have at it.

Defeat L'ville; defeat Rutgers; defeat...
