Go away.
We all know who the weakest link is. Some of us are just too PC to say it.
Speak for yourself.
So, if forced, which MAC West school would you vanquish? My guess is that you will refuse to answer the question.
The answer is obvious: Toledo.
Here's why. If you got rid of Toledo, both BG and EMU would benefit. They'd benefit w/ more recruits, bigger fan bases, more media coverage.
Toledo's presence holds back two other programs. It's obvious they've been the logjam keeping the MAC from moving forward.

As I suspected. Deep down inside, you know the correct answer, but you are scared to confront it.

A move to the SBC is something that seriously doesn't sound bad since we wouldn't have to split the playoff revenue 13 ways.

Ball State- think of the 2 BCS programs they beat, Indiana for the 3rd straight time and USF
WMU- think of UConn who beat Lville on the road in 2012
BGSU- think of the team that was down to Florida by 7 in the 4th quarter
Ohio- beat PSU by 10 on the road
Toledo- took bowl winning AZ to OT on the road
CMU-beat Iowa
2) Schedule as many games with Navy & Army as possible. Whether they're having a good season or bad, these 2 service academies are both Indy's and need to schedule 12 opponents per year and they are draws.
I don't think we drew any more for Army and Navy did we? If so, it couldn't have been by much. We'd probably get better attendance from an in-state FCS school just due to proximity.
I don't know for a fact that attendance was higher but I want to say it was. How about an instate FCS team and Army or Navy at home. Except for an AQ team, service academies I believe will give you the highest home attendance. Navy, Army & AFA are all in the top 10 among non AQ
s for attendance.
Home attendance? That wouldn't help much.
Again, I don't have NIU's home atendance numbers for the past 5 years at my disposal but judging from the service academy's home attendance and how well they draw in Philly when they play Temple I would bet that any MAC team that has a home game with a service academy sees an attendance bump.
Since we schedule 4 OOC games per season, 1 with a service academy and 1 with an FCS team is going to be the best that most MAC teams not named Toledo can do for home OOC scheduling to maximize attendance.

UB has a 3:3 coming with Army to finish out the decade, last time we had them I think we drew 24K. It helps even more that Army is just 6 hours down the road from us so fan travel is easy.
24K is great for an OOC home game, heck most MAC programs arent' drawing that for a conference home game. Smart scheduling by Buffalo.

Although if we drop a school in the West and replace them with a FCS like Delaware or JMU I would swing BG to the West. That would be the ideal scenario.
Oh gee, and who would that "school in the west" be? I think we need to drop a poster from the MACbbs.
I think he is talking about Toledo or NIU.
If you've got connections to the Big 12 and can make that move possible for NIU, I think all Huskie fans would be
We'd erect a statue in your honor
The MAC would be $2.5M richer, NIU would have guaranteed access to a BCS howl and the MAC would be back to a comfortable 12 team conference with even divisions.

If we're somewhere near an Army base, we might get an attendance bump from them. In general, they might bring an extra 300 that other teams wouldn't bring. Not terrible but not really a draw.

Except the pig would actually look like a giraffe and the pole would be a circle. Total cost? $333,000 dollars.

That would fall under Michigan Statutes Annotated, Torchy.
