VERY strange ...last night during a timeout I looked at the score and ECU had 54 points...now, the really weird thing is that exactly 1/2 of those points (27 points-9 3's) came from the 3 point line !! I don't know if that has ever happened before ? 1/2 ??????

It is strange Missj, at times we really get after guys and deny the 3 and other times we just jog behind them and do the late hand in the face to make it look like we were there. I rewatched the game last night when I got home, we really locked them down in the first half and then...

That double screen on the baseline gets us a lot. Seems like the other team always makes the shot in that situation.

We do get hung up on those screens a lot. Got to stay on the shooters hip and fight through them. I'd be fine with Geron running full speed into one of the screeners and knocking the $hit out of him. Make them think twice about setting it.

At times our guys take plays off...Tis what it Tis.

Gotta go hard all the time but that is easier said than done.

They are a 3 point shooting team.

Not only were they making 3’s they were making loooong 3’s. One reason they were successful was many of their shots were from post kick outs. This means the shooter was already focused on the goal when he got the ball from the post/low position.

Fact: You shoot a higher percentage already facing the goal than say turning and shooting or off the dribble.

Chris Vernon was saying their 3 point shooting was roughly 290 in the country before yesterday. Doesn't sound like a 3 point shooting team to me.

Earlier this year, North Florida made 11 threes (33 points) and only scored 66 total...50%

VCU made 13 threes (39 points) and scored 78 points...50%

Northern Iowa scored 21 on threes out of 47 points...45%

yes, they do sound familiar. Didn't notice that in the N. Florida game, the N. Iowa wasn't 50% and the VCU game didn't have a stats board in the banquet hall the game was played in so I didn't realize that happened.
