Did Harnish ever even put on a uniform during 2012? I really doubt that anything changes for him next seaeon either.

I'm sure if Chandler was told to come to a team to have a shot at starting he would have left. He's in the NFL and we're not, no one here can talk about what he should have done.

Played a couple of series during the preseason games and I anticipate he will do the same this coming season.

Chaz.. you clearly have no clue what you're talking about. Like I said, it worked out for a lot of other guys, this is the NFL, backup QB's get in all the time. If he can't overtake Stanton, why would you think he'd be in a position to get play time somewhere else. If he improves he'll be the number two in Indy soon, and then it's only a matter of time before he gets in the game.

84 Is a very rational poster on pretty much every subject except Jerry Kill.

Yeah, he's really wasting his time there......

The Colts are one of the classiest organizations in the NFL. It's in his home state. He's got a front row seat in the classroom that enables him to learn while watching the development of one of the most talented young QB's to enter the NFL in recent memory.

So when does Harnish get to show what he can do with Indy? Probably never. The reason Turner got the big contract was because he got opportunities to play and made the most of it. Apparently he is satisfied with his status of just being marginal at best. If that is the case more power to him.
Luck's back-up, Drew Stanton is a free agent now. His contract expired last Sunday. Think about it...Harnish has 3 years to go on his rookie contract. What a great position to be in to perfect his skills. A great opportunity for a MAC QB.

So does this mean Stanton is not with Indy anymore?

They aren't going to go into next year without an experienced backup for Luck. Harnish would have to beat out whomever the new #2 is.

Why not?
The Washington Redskins have (had - knee injury) RG111 as their starter - a rookie. And their back up is Kirk Cousins - also a rookie I believe.

I don't know why it would be any more of a risk for Indy to have Harnish as #2.

I just think, unless Harnish really impresses (and he might), that they'll want a more experienced backup. They might not pay a lot for one, and it may be somebody that Harnish could beat out for the #2 spot. But I think they'll bring someone in to replace Stanton.

Yea, I'm sure you're right.
I just really want to see Chandler get a shot....
