What's up with the 'Birds? I wasn't ready to count them out even being 0-3, but losing to HSU is too much. I'm ready to move ISU to 5th or 6th in the MVC at best. My mind is completely blown by all of this. I feel bad for ISU fans and Carmichael, but wow. Just wow.

I don't get it either. Carmichael is a beast, but Tyler Brown has seemingly disappeared from deep and is only getting points by forcing a ton of shots, Ekey has vanished, Wilkins is hardly playing, Bryant Allen was hurt against UNI, don't know if he played tonight. That was what seemed a pretty solid nucleus to build around even without their PG from last year.

I think this is where the first year coach is rearing its head-will have to see if Muller can rally his troops.

I guess in the post game comments, Muller kind of threw Brown under the bus. Sounds like there's a cancer on the team and it may be more than just one. I did see a rumor that Bryant Allen wasn't thought of too highly either. I think both are gone after this year, but still feel bad for Jackie. That guy is a beast and could play on any team in the country. Too bad he appears to be the only one showing up to play for ISU.

Another almost WTF as Southern Illinois plays the game of thier lives and almost takes down WSU in Wichita. Evansville does though, pulling one out over Northern Iowa.

UNI had a lead with 90 seconds to go and Koch at the line (currently 4th in all FT% at UNI) and he clanks the front end of a 1 and 1. 40 seconds later we send Anthony James to the line and the same thing. Evansville 12-13 FT, UNI 9-13.

Don't know what it is but UNI is missing that one piece that would push them ahead in games like this. 4 losses by 5 or less, 2 wins (both in OT)

UNI and Ill. St have both been disappointments this year. I am hoping Ill. State waits until after January 16 to start a turn around.

I think they will get better. Heck, losing Brown might be just what they needed to start playing team ball.

0-5 coming to Wichita tonight....they better not figure it out and surprise us. On the other hand, we should be getting Hall back, finally, and I don't see us losing with the energy his return will bring. ISU is going to start 0-6 and I will continue to wonder WTF?!!!
