RE: How does the MAC get back
Healthy Ohio team returning its senior QB with lots of weapons should put up a lot of points. Ohio will have some depth because a lot of young players on defense saw game action this year.

Actually we lost to UConn at home and Syracuse on the road. The Syracuse game was just a disaster of epic proportions where we didn't show up and Syracuse did. In the UConn game we sleepwalked through 3 1/2 quarters before our starting QB broke his wrist , then in OT our safety dropped an interception.
Ohio lost to Miami, Bowling Green, Ball State, and Kent State, with three of those losses by 12 points or more.
just to clarify, those losses were made much less competitive by our injury situation. i'm not saying we would have won them all had we been healthy, but it did play a part - especially in the final margin of victory. that shouldn't be an issue in the first game of a new season. so, feel free to disregard us all you want. we like it that way. we'll see you on August 31! be ready!!!
Actually there's been quite a lot of talk of ESPN buying out the Ohio game so we can play at a neutral site against a top 10 team the first week.

Link? I looked on Louisville's board on here and on Scout, and there was no talk about the Ohio game or the 2013 schedule.

That would be awfully short notice. The buyout would have to be rather large.

RE: How does the MAC get back
Toledo beat UC and Kent beat Rutgers, teams which tied Louisville for first in the BE. OU was a strong team to start the season, then fell apart with injuries but rebounded in the bowl game. OU has a lot returning and should have a great season. Louisville could lose to OU, just like 8-4 Penn State did last year. Kind of depends on how good Louisville is. If it is the same Louisville team I watched all year, OU has a solid shot at winning, if U of L plays like they did in the bowl game, then they will be to good for OU. But OU could have beaten Louisville at the beginning of 2012.

They're going to have to move pretty damned fast, only 7.5 months away and how is Ohio supposed to find an opponent with an open date this late? Does Lville really want to give up a home game for a neutral site game that might not draw what you would draw in your home opener?
Ohio will be healthy for the 8/31 game for the first time since their opener last year at PSU. Both teams are returning most of their talent. Alot will depend on Lville's state of mind, if they're into the game the Cardinals will likely win, if not the Bobcats have enough weapons to take it. Will be a great start to the season and in determining which non AQ team(if any) gets a BCS bowl
