RE: Suppose Memphis hadn't been invited to the Big East...
All those poor Big East teams in an unstable conference. How are they surviving? 1 in Big, 2 in Big12, 5 in ACC, 7 started own Bball conf. making good money. Even Boise got a hell of a upgrade in pay just to join and back out. Nobody has ever joined the Big East and been hurt by it. Temple got booted once for not supporting their football team, UConn is basically a FBS startup with little history, and Cinci and USF were our peers in CUSA just a few short years ago, But just by being in the Big East now everybody talks about them moving up at next opportunity.

The PAC took Utah from MWC, but Power 5 conferences don't pull from other gang of five conference schools, thats what the Big East is for. You play well here if you want to move up.

What would you recommend?

Vote!

You go, move, explore.

Look at TCU's path.

We haven't located TCU's path yet...

Also...who is the one person who voted "Stay in CUSA"?

The nBE is a light years jump for us because it puts us a step closer to something better if we can make football relevant again. We must continue to jockey for position to make ourselves attractive for a conference if more movement happens.

Lately, some posters have been somewhat down in the dumps regarding what the nBE has (or will) become. I made the poll/thread to simply reinforce opinions among Tiger fans and visitors to the board that Memphis fans still heavily favor changing conferences. We are much better off with where we are going than where we are. A bit of message-board psychology if you will.
