RE: GoDaddy bowl
Pity Kent State through an interception on third and goal. They started first and one.

I listened to your crybaby jealousy for 2 months when Ohio was getting publicity and I still rooted for NIU in their bowl.
stop being so sensitive and mean-girlish. Act like you've been there before.
jealous? No. Just the realization that you weren't good and the hype wasn't warranted, which the end of your season proved. (oh, the injuries, I know. )
Again, why must a 9 win MAC team be "not good"? what's the point?
the hype was completely warranted when they were 7-0. When they were 8-4 it wasn't, which is why there wasn't any then.
The end of the season was the bowl game, and that game proved that the hype was warranted earlier in the year.
why are you so angry when another MAC opponent gets good pub? It only adds credibility to YOUR wins, don'tchaknow? Ohio's fast start, Toledo's win over UC, Kent's win at Rutgers, those are all things that helped voters justify slingshotting YOUR team into the top 16. Don't be so naive as to ignore that it was the strength of the league that helped push you over the edge. That's all I'm saying.
No doubt that a strong MAC gave NIU credibility.
When you cannot schedule strong teams a strong MAC is your only hope.

+1
Brock Huard was saying last night that Ark. State was a little "wide-eyed" when they played in the GoDaddy last year. This year, even with another interim HC, they were ready to play.
My son's best friend was a senior player for ASU last year. They were shell shocked losing Freeze and dealing with a group of volunteer coaches they had never met. The staff was disorganized and couldn't even get the busses loaded to get the team to the various events on time.
I knew we were in trouble Friday night when I ran into players on the street at midnight. They only had curfew on Saturday.

RE: GoDaddy bowl
Since my "agreeing" with the statement paraphrased as "Kent St. sucks and would be destroyed by FSU" helped cause this kerfuffle let me clarify. I agree with the second part not the first and I probably should have noted that rather than just saying "I agree". Clearly Kent is a good team and I rooted for them mightily in their bowl game. They were one of the great stories in college football this year.
I do believe the MAC is lucky Kent didn't go to the Orange Bowl however because the result would have been truly embarrassing and validated the haters even more than we did. Lynch is way better than Keith and Lynch could barely do anything against FSU. Kent would not have been able to run at all and FSU would have had two guys on Archer at all times. That's my only point.
