Don't mind them, more concerned about how ugly the teams play will be. However it will be the first day of class so the students will be amped and the atmosphere should be good. Expecting a much better effort.

I think they are sharp...better than those fugly one's we wore in March last year...for sure

Unless those jerseys can run an offense or make a shot, might as well leave them in the box.

So theyre blacker than our current black unis because what? They have gray numbers? Nothing special looking about them but if they help us bust out of this funk then great.

We're getting special uniforms from adidas. I'll take them. They won't help the offense, but they won't hurt either. We'll probably get some attention for the special unis. Attention is attention - I'm cool with that. The ones from last year's NCAA tournament weren't particularly attractive, but there were 3 "special" teams that got to wear the unis in the tournament (UC, UL and Baylor). Is ND wearing anything special this Monday from adidas? Just wondering as I could see adidas breaking new style unis for both teams. Haven't heard either way about ND.

I had heard it was in honor of the 27 people killed in the shootings in Newtown, CN.

Only 26 were killed in Newtown.

The other one doesn't count. He did himself.

That is not correct. It is for Twyman, they have been wearing them all season long.

Honoring Twyman makes more sense for UC.

Other teams have worn #27 to honor the Newtown victims which probably lead to the confusion over why UC is wearing the number. There were 27 victims. Adding the dead mother would equal 27 killed in Newtown.

Never makes sense to honor Tyman. Twyman on the other hand was a great basketball player and an even better person. His guardianship of Maurice Stokes is one of the great stories in human history.
