Sorry but I have watched every game Minnesota has played for the last two seasons and I have seen all of ponders warts.

Joe looks tight. He has missed a few easy throws, and a few hard ones too. Simpson was running the post route like it hadn't been thrown to him all year.

Because you and everyone else on here choose to focus on those "warts" and ignore the good things he does.

We aren't blindly hating Ponder, we are openly hating Ponder.

Joe in the same circumstances could do just as well.

The Vikings won 8 home games by mainly handing off to Peterson.

Ponder is athletic.

And dumping it off. I find it interesting they are not letting Joe run the same offense. They are acting brain dead.

And I'm not a Vikings fan. I'm a Joe Webb fan. He has looked a lot like a guy who hasn't thrown a pass all year so far.

Hopefully the second half will be better, because he'll get his opportunities.

Better receivers would not catch those passes unless they were 10 feet tall. Smaug is right. He hasn't thrown a pass in a game all year and it shows. He also is not an NFL quality passer. It's got nothing to do with play calling.

Practice speed never has been game speed and never will be. Lets hope Joe can adjust at half time.


With Rodgers being the opposition, it shows Joe's lack of polish and practice that much more.

My point was at least run the same offense with the short passes and dump offs and give the man a chance to get in rhythm. What is being called does not resemble what they have been running all year.

Its not Joe. Its not Ponder. Its the Minnesota play calling - their offensive scheme. Mike Tice is a horrible OC who will not return next year(if he hasn't been fired already). No imagination. No safety valve. Only AP left; AP right; pass. Otherwise, they do not threaten the defense at all.

Why have they not run the wildcat/read option since the 1st 5 plays ?

Because it was working.

They also are packed in on offense.

Yep. They apparently only call it for the facemask versus the back of the helmet.

Does the tackler play for the Broncos or Green Bay ? If yes, the answer is no, it is not illegal. The other 30 teams, can't do it.

Joe is just now getting to the point where he is on the verge of appearing comfortable.

Unfortunately Rodgers has been comfortable since the middle of the 1st quarter.
