how can mullins sleep at night?
hes got to be beside himself. etsu tennis is ranked behind north florida? that is totally unacceptable! we must cancel another sport program immediately and put all of that money towards tennis

copied frm asun,,,,,,,,,,,,

SKILLMAN, N.J. - North Florida and ETSU both landed spots in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Top-75 Rankings, announced Thursday by the organization. The Ospreys are perched at No. 64 in the rankings, while the Buccaneers are tied for 71st with Oregon.

UNF's Moritz Buerchner, a three-time A-Sun First Team All-Conference member, also earned individual rankings as the 72nd-best singles player. Buerchner teamed with fellow Osprey Nobert Nemcsek as the nation's 20th ranked doubles team.

The 2013 Atlantic Sun tennis season begins on January 11th with ETSU and Kennesaw State both in action at invitationals. The first duals take place on Jan. 18th and 19th.

My greatest hope is that when he retires, the University auctions off all of his tennis rackets.

That's goooooda! Don't mean to offend tennis....but in context, that's funny. It would be better aimed at Stanton.

Indeed I meant no offense to our tennis team. I want them to win championships! But yes I should have put Stanton's rackets up for sale!

He sleeps easy, because he thinks he's doing a great job.

Actually, I think this would be a legitimate time for fans to complain. There is no reason for ETSU to ever be ranked lower than anyone in the ASun. This is the only sport that ETSU far, far outspends the rest of the conference. Look at staffing as an example. Yaser is director of tennis with an asst coach for each team and a grad asst for each team. UNF for example has a head coach with no assts for each team.

Spending limited funds on this kind of crap is nothing but scandal. How many millions has ETSU athletics poured down this minor sports rat hole these past ten years?

NCAA violation - men's teams can have 2 paid coaches, women's teams can have 2 paid coaches. a director of tennis is considered 1 paid coach for each program. grad assistants are considered paid coaches. in the past Mullins use to get the business dept or some other dept. to pay for these GA's in order to get around the rules. however Mullins reads the rules the way he wants to in order to benefit selected programs and no other ASUN school will challenge him on it. is this is why he loves the ASUN

99- Is that why Furman's coach hated him?

I am told that Mullins as a coach would look down on / speak down to people and the Furman coach deserved respect.
