He seems to have some mental block with the term "point guard", even though he is doing the job of one.

I feel Joe's experience in the Bahamas was what fully switched on the light for him. He had dedicated himself to being better this season, and then he just completely laid an egg in that tourney. I think it must have been a big AHA moment for him. He's been gradually getting better since then, and now he and DJ are the best and most reliable players on our team. He looks like he is finally getting comfortable as a Memphis Tiger.

Yep and he did everything in his power to beat Louisville. He held up his end of that deal.
