Rob Fisher...
Since he was the one to break the story I found it interesting what he had to say today.

1. Bowen has made it clear from the day he was hired he would be active in scheduling.
2. Bowen has made it clear from the day he was hired (including on Fisher's program) that he wanted the UT and Ole Miss series.
3. Josh was too definite in his statement.
4. Josh's press conferences have been getting increasingly bizarre.

Makes me begin to wonder if maybe Josh was trying his own powerplay. If he goes public and draws a line in the sand about UT then Bowen would have no choice but to go along with Josh. Except that backfired.

Seems more believable to me than Tom saying he would never play UT again, when he has publicly and on record stated numerous times he wanted to continue the UT series.

I think Bowen wants his own man in place. This is what most AD's do as soon as the chance presents itself.

You know, let's not discount the possibility that what came out of Josh's mouth may have been exactly what the UT AD needed to hear to, uh..um.. "facilitate more fluid negotiations"....

That may very well play into it as well.

Excellent point that I hadn't considered.

But again, logic and reason have no place here.

Yeah. I'm kinna half kidding..... and half not. It wouldn't surprise me in the least, and would give me hope for the future of Tiger Athletics. To have such a devious duo on OUR side for once!!!!

Ah. Sorry. Missed that "home" part. That would have been funny, though. I mean, if "home" hadn't been in there, see,.... because, see, YOU were talkin about Quanzo Garbonzo, but I.... was insinuating that YOU were talkin bout Josh.. .. that's why ... it ... would have been.... fun..

Yep again!

Plus #4 in Memtibb's post is something that I have noticed as well. It greatly concerns me. I hope he is OK. No matter what anybody thinks about the basketball program and its leadership, CJP is the face of our university right now and I pray that everything works out for everybody.
