Marriott Harbor Springs-Ft Laud. Great hotel-met lot of very nice Huskie fans. Great pool and private beach. Alabama media moved in the day after the OB and were all over the place.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott near Fll airport 3.6 miles. Solid bed , cable,, free breakfast. Great value ...lot of Huskie fans.

Marriott Harbor Resort Ft. Lauderdale. Thank goodness for points! Very nice, though, was able to take picture with OB Trophy, talk to Paul Hancock, Chairman of BCS who was very complimentary on our beloved Huskies! Great beach and met several Huskie fans! Pricey, though

Stayed at the Hilton Downtown Miami. Had an awesome corner suite on the 11th floor - great views of bay and city. Nice rooftop pool that had a live band on NYE and spectacular view of fireworks at midnight. 5 of the student buses stayed there.

The morning after the game, we went to the Wyndham Deerfield Beach and stayed there through Friday. Very nice hotel right on the Atlantic. Hit the Whales Rib on Thursday night for dinner (thanks, BocaRocket). Bartender was from south side of Chicago, saw us in NIU shirts, and drinks were on the house all night.

Now that I think about it they were all Brunettes at the front..yes i vaguely remember one being tall.

Days Inn Miami Beach. Cheap, did the trick, but only had one working elevator. Grr.

Now that I think about it they were all Brunettes at the front..yes i vaguely remember one being tall.

Fontainbleau Hotel was fabulous. Great for lobby sitting, met and talked to a lot of people and players, it was a great time

I went solo so it wasn't like sharing the tab with others...

The Fontainebleau was part of the charter air tour package. It's where the team stayed. I priced the room that I was in there and it was $769 per night. We paid much less than that as part of the package. I'm sure there are "deals" out there, but it is still a very expensive establishment that caters to the rich.

Our breakfasts at the Fontainebleau were about $66 for two. My wife and I had a little snack last Tuesday at the outdoor bar. We each had a mini-tomato salad and a pina colada. $75. Needless to say, I will be eating ramen for the forseeable future!
