Chance to raise it to 5-0 tommorrow. Our SEC-loving local media has not seemed to notice, LOL!

Nor will they. It doesn't fit their agenda.

If you read much into bowl results, then sure.

RE: Big East Is 4-0 vs the SEC In Bowls So Far
In BCS Bowls the SEC is currently 0-1 and could possibly end up 0-2.

The PAC-12, however, is 2-0 in BCS Bowls.

Is it safe to say that, this year, the Pac12 is the best football conference?

Keep in mind that Alabama backed into the NC game (which allowed a 2nd SEC team to get in the BCS mix).

If OSU wasn't on probation then we're looking at ND vs OSU for the NC.

If KState hadn't lost a week AFTER Alabama they'd be in there.

If Oregon hadn't lost a week AFTER Alabama they'd be in there.

If Alabama had lost to ATM a week after KSU and Oregon lost instead of the other way around then Alabama wouldn't be in the NC game.

Would be nice if that were true...

But the voters would have fixed that by the final week by moving Alabama ahead due to their perceived strength.

Speaking of perception and voters [Irish voted #1] and would of-could of-should of's:

3 games [at home] that could have and probably should have gone the other way.

SOUTH BEND, Ind
College football: No. 4 Notre Dame escapes, beats Pitt 29-26 in triple overtime
Panthers kicker Kevin Harper lined up for a 33-yard field goal to win the game on the ensuing possession. The snap was high and Harper barely missed wide right. Notre Dame was still, incredibly, aliveā€¦.
Against an undermanned Pitt team that gave the Irish their best shot, Notre Dame did just enough to escape with a win

SOUTH BEND, Ind
Notre Dame Football: Irish Escape with 20-13 OT Win vs. Stanford
Stanford running back Stepfan Taylor was stopped by the narrowest margin on the game's final play, twisting on top of the pile before stretching for the goal line as Notre Dame began to celebrate.
The whistle blew as his forward progress was stopped, but it was unclear whether Taylor's body ever touched the ground. The ball did eventually break the plane, but it was determined by replay that the play had already been blown dead.

SOUTH BEND, Ind.
Unscathed Irish unsatisfied after escape
Throw in a pair of makeable field goals blowing wide for good measure in the Irish's 17-14 victory over BYU.

Yup.

A lot of teams looked good in the NFL preseason too.

Means about the same.

What it is, is that a good line of bull will get in you in the game, but the better team still wins. Big East better than SEC this year. The proof was on the field.

Maybe

But this thread is another indication that the SEC is the standard by which all others are measured

bowl games are affected by the long layoffs, coaches leaving before the game, and players getting suspended or thinking about going pro. they are just exhibitions.

If the SEC was 4-0, then the SEC would be the best conference...since they're 0-4 it's just like NFL preseason.03-drunk

You can look at my past posts, I've never wavered from the bowls are exhibition stance. I had no idea the SEC was 0-4 to begin with.

I love the NFL preseason because of all of the trophies and confetti and excited players.
