If you read much into bowl results, then sure.

In BCS Bowls the SEC is currently 0-1 and could possibly end up 0-2.

The PAC-12, however, is 2-0 in BCS Bowls.

Is it safe to say that, this year, the Pac12 is the best football conference?

Keep in mind that Alabama backed into the NC game (which allowed a 2nd SEC team to get in the BCS mix).

If OSU wasn't on probation then we're looking at ND vs OSU for the NC.

If KState hadn't lost a week AFTER Alabama they'd be in there.

If Oregon hadn't lost a week AFTER Alabama they'd be in there.

If Alabama had lost to ATM a week after KSU and Oregon lost instead of the other way around then Alabama wouldn't be in the NC game.

The whistle blew as his forward progress was stopped, but it was unclear whether Taylor's body ever touched the ground. The ball did eventually break the plane, but it was determined by replay that the play had already been blown dead.

What it is, is that a good line of bull will get in you in the game, but the better team still wins. Big East better than SEC this year. The proof was on the field.

But this thread is another indication that the SEC is the standard by which all others are measured

bowl games are affected by the long layoffs, coaches leaving before the game, and players getting suspended or thinking about going pro. they are just exhibitions.

If the SEC was 4-0, then the SEC would be the best conference...since they're 0-4 it's just like NFL preseason.

You can look at my past posts, I've never wavered from the bowls are exhibition stance. I had no idea the SEC was 0-4 to begin with.

I love the NFL preseason because of all of the trophies and confetti and excited players.
