Because its our m.o. to lose these types of games. Even our best teams have trouble winning up there.

When I think about the UT game this year, there really is no advantage to playing them. It's a game that we could easily lose and even if we do win, the selection committee won't see it as a quality win. Yea!

If the game is in the 70's we win
If it stays in the 50's or 60's , look out

A top 75 RPI road victory will look good. Especially if they can pull off an upset or two during SEC play.

They just knocked off Xavier, at team that beat Butler. I really hope I'm wrong. I just haven't seen anything to indicate Memphis can win a pressure filled game in a hostile environment. Memphis has shown some flashes of being good this year but not on a consistent basis. Memphis lacks discipline, plays alot of streetball, lacks mental toughness.
I hope they prove me wrong tonight, but I don't think so.

UT is probably the 4th or 5th best team in the SEC this year.

If they are are that they will be probably be an at large team.

So far, it looks like I was dead wrong. This is by far the best defensive effort by the Tigers (especially the Tiger guards) I have seen this season. Extremely impressive. And Crawford and Thomas are able to hit the broad side of a barn.

This is one time I am glad to be wrong. This is the best game I've seen Memphis play under Pastner. Shot selection was outstanding most of the game, and when Tennessee had their spurts at the end, Memphis answered and didn't crumble. Geron Freakin Johnson is the iceman; gotta love his coolness under pressure.

We are starting to look like a well coached team.

No doubt.

Fearless! This team desperately needed someone like him for games likes this. The rest of team the team took notice and followed. Great way to hold a lead against a rival on the road!

I wasn't confident we were gonna win that one, but I'm glad to be wrong.

Very good decisions offensively...

Gotta find a way to keep them playing hard...This is why we play poor teams closely. We turned our defensive intensity level down when we went up 20...And that is the intensity level we normally play with against lower level teams.
