The combination of RGIII and Alfred Morris has turned the 'Skins offense in to one of the best in the league. Griffin is the flash, and Morris brings the thunder. 02-13-banana

Incoming Bobby Rainey is a better, more deserving back then Alfred from WKU fans in 3,2,1.......

He has made the most of his opportunity. He is a WORKHORSE back. Not a lot of flash, not a lot of speed. Just one cut, and run over the person in front of him.

Shanny and the 'Skins got a gem.

Rainey is very undersized. He could never make it as a three down back in the NFL. I'd love to see him play, but the best he could accomplish would be a Reggie Bush-ish at New Oreleans role.

Off the top of my head, I'm not sure I can think of an undersized running back from a non-aq school to really get to play at the next level.

MJD-UCLA
Bush-USC
Sproles-K-State
Quiz Rodgers-Oregon State
Barry Sanders-Ok State
Dunn-Florida State

The only one I can come up with is Brian Westbrook. Who was about the same weight as Rainey, but a little taller.

IIRC, Walter Payton, from Jackson State, was 5-10, and only 200 lbs.

And its been quite some time since either was drafted. Perhaps bigger programs have grown more likely to take undersized running backs, they do seem to be a bigger part of the game at all levels these days. If Westbrook or Peyton were coming up now as opposed to win they did, I suspect they would not be playing at the FCS level.

Loved Rainey and wish him nothing but the best, but IMO he's not fast enough. That's all that's holding him back
