I ain't laughing. Some of you think we are going to blow thru Knoxville and then the rest of the season. While I think we are capable of doing so, we haven't shown any signs that we will do it. I'd put the UT game at 50/50 and fully expect to drop 2-3 in conf play - i expect all road games will be struggles.

Just think, other than UTEP we'll still be in the same conference with all or most of this.

Bad thing about the ECU loss was that it was at home to a team with a frackin 290 RPI --- Just them showing up at the FedExForum next week will drop our RPI.

You guys have struggled with Samford and Lipscomb. Unless you get everything straightened out, you will struggle in CUSA as well.

I'm sure you will, but some here seems to think it will be a cakewalk. The Tiger team I've watched is going to lose a few. I predict you win the conference with three maybe four losses.

Thats because we are. The rest of our schedule is weak as hell. Not a single NCAA at large caliber team left on it.

Try and enjoy it instead of being miserable and negative.

And LOL @ the UAB guy in the previous post. He's just mad beacuse the blazers will get crushed by a combine 40+ points against us and he knows it.

Too bad we cant play all of our conference games against UAB. Thats a guaranteed 16-0.

JMS's excellent thread on conference RPI revealed that to date C-USA's conference strength (#11) this year is the same as it was for the 2009-2010 season. There are 31 conferences in NCAA and so the reality is that C-USA (#11) is near the top third of conference strength which is not ideal but not horrible either.

Realistically, it is very difficult to win all conference games in a conference with above average teams.

Road games are struggles for every team in every conference...no different here except league is not very good.

I actually think we will do better than this because we have under-performed. However, it is not a guarantee that we stop under-performing. If Tarik can get healthy and Adonis can find himself, we will be in great shape (with a bonus if CC can find his shot - needs to go back to the set-shot on 3s, he is drifting WAY too much on his jumpers.)
