Any word about Taylor Heinicke at Carolina? Seems like he may have a shot there with Norv Turner as the OC and not much at QB except for Cam.

He's a scout. Not a coach per se.

Tough time to be cut. If I were him, I'd try and become the best ST player I could. Whether that's PR, KR, gunner or whatever. Every year there are dozens on guys just like him coming into the league.

Ryan Yarbrough finished the first half of his rookie season with a record of 8-4. He has not technically been used much as a starting pitcher because the Rays' manager inverted the process of using starting and relief pitchers. Recently Yarbrough has been used as more of a true relief pitcher, pitching only a couple innings per game rather than extended innings.

Regardless of whether he's a true starter or not, an 8-4 record with an ERA of 3.61 halfway his rookie season is an accomplishment.

Just a reminder that the Bears have a preseason game tomorrow night. May get to see Rashaad Coward get in to play Guard after his switch to OL this off season.

On another note, Rotimi was waived by the Bears last Friday.

Rotimi getting cut that fast is a surprise to me. Thought he had a chance. At least thought he'd make it deep into camp.

Victim of circumstance. Hroniss Grasu, an olineman, got injured. Bears wanted another OL body for camp. They respond with cutting at a position of depth and signing a free agent OL, Jack Allen.
