Must be nice getting paid from multiple employers at the same time.

Good for LP. I wish him success, and hopefully he can move up to head coach (somewhere else) someday.

This is good for us as I'm sure it reduces how much we have to pay for him next year.

I'm honestly surprised he wasn't given the title recruiting coordinator, at least not officially. In a large staff like LSU and Texas, he can serve a very valuable role.

RE: Porter to Texas
Seems like a risky move for Porter. If Brown doesn't fare a little better in '13, he could end up on his ear in Austin.

Will he be allowed in the coaching meetings this time? Or be asked to "step out" like before?

Depsite his lack of success as a HC I think he'll always be in demand as a good recruiter.

No, he wasn't.

Good luck, Larry! I know it didn't work out here, but I have nothing but the best wishes for you in your future endeavors!

RE: Porter to Texas
Mack Brown shoulda consulted Jeff Bower, Neil Callaway and Ellis Johnson about what happens when you hire a former Tiger head coach.
