Congrats to Jordan Lynch!
The Orange Bowl may not have went the way we wanted, but Jordan broke another record today.

First player in division 1 football history to pass and rush for over 3000 and 1500 yards respectively.

Congrats.

I am pretty sure JL doesn't care right now either...he is about to go to a press conference and be asked the same question numerous times.

Well the media made sure to point out everything wrong with NIU and "expose" them, so I wanted to point out something positive. Like I said, the game may not have went the way NIU fans wanted, but this was a terrific season that will go down as one of the best in Huskie History. I'm sorry if some people are upset by the loss, but I'm damn proud to be a Huskie right now.

Nothing wrong with how you feel. Just saying it's hard to be positive with the current stinging in my skull.

RE: Congrats to Jordan Lynch!
Jordan Lynch in his first year exceeded all expectations becoming the best QB in NIU history.
THis could so easily have been a 1 TD game.
NIU was in with a chance in the 4th Q, till a series of mistakes put the game out of reach.
No doubt Lunch had the talent to have made this a much closer game, despite the young O-line crumbling.
NIU's D. played very well, and NIU will start next season with one of the top 5 QB's and a Heisman front runner.

RE: Congrats to Jordan Lynch!
bottom line: Jordan did not have a good passing game, and I dont' understand the run up the middle plays that we were calling in the first half......Martel was open on at least a couple of plays, but Lynch didn't get him the ball

Lynch was as bad as he could be. 17-10, lynch throws a pick, end of game. We played, FSU in Florida, of course we lost. NIU, has great things ahead of them! We will be back next year, in a big bowl! 4th quarter down 17-10, with a chance to score and our best player missing every pass, I would say, we are not that far off.

Lynch thought he was a pit hr and threw 90+ every pitch. You need people to catch it. area should have let him know that. Very MAC!!

Bad games: Losing to Akron in 2005. Losing to Miami in 2010. Losing to CMU last year.

We were playing FSU in their home state with a ton of FSU fans there. Was hoping it would be a little closer, but they didn't roll over us - the game was pretty close until they got that last TD.

Lynch deserves a lot of praise and thanks for getting NIU to the Orange Bowl and for an incredible season. However yesterday was not his finest hour. He missed some wide open receivers that could have made the game interesting in Q4. That said I feel blessed to watch him play one more season.

Good learning experience for Lynch. It was his first year as starting QB and that was trial by fire out there. He'll be even better next year.

Lynch just didn't look the same, BUT that's understandable considering the FSU defense......their speed stood out, especially on a couple of plays where Lynch ran to the outside. In MAC play he picked up significant yds on those type of plays, not last night.
I give the coaching staff credit for calling the fake punt, onside kick and that pooch kick by Lynch
