Just got back from the Joe. I can not tell you how ticked i am that we are the only school that didnt bring the band to the tournament. It killed the atmosphere. Msu band going all game long. I've never seen a school not bring the pep band to the Joe.

Does anyone know why the bmb no-showed?

Maybe it's over a six hour drive?

If i had to guess, the school didn't want to pay for it, and we don't have an alumni pep band. I highly doubt that there wasn't student support to go, kids are usually falling all over eachother to do hockey games

I talked to a WMU official yesterday after the game. He said we asked, but they declined.

Actually, I think I will.

Came here wondering the same thing. Only thing I can think of is it's students vacation, so didn't have time to put one together. But it's been a while since WMU has been in this tourney hasn't it? Maybe they just didn't know.

Well the hockey team has forgot the offense the last 3 games so I guess anything is possible.

Like I said, students are on Vacation. Maybe couldn't find people to go.

That's usually the case, it from what I've been told by my friends who are still in the band, they were never even asked for some reason

It was posted on the Hockey blog for MTU game that the Athletic Dept. asked to have the band at the GLI but someone in the School of Music said no. I plan to email Dunn to try and get more cooperation from the School of Music.

If I had to guess, the SoM didn't want to cut the paychecks for 60 games (30 students, 2 games) at about $23/game

I believe that the Athletic Department pays the bank and any expenses
