The boxscore I saw had the following:
Mbodj - 6 pts., 5 rebs, 1 block
Nyarsuk - 6 pts. , 3 rebs, 0 block
12 pts, 8 reb, 1 block, 38 mins of play combined

I went by the box score on ESPN after the game. Must not have been accurate.

Interesting numbers. What they don't show is how atrocious Mbodj was on the defensive end - consistently beaten on pick and rolls, poor boxing out...and don't even get me started on the last 2 minutes of the game. Had they lost, I wouldn't have let either Cheikh or Sanders on the team bus.
I keed. But Mbodj was as bad as I've seen him this year.

Loved Cash driving the lane, bounce pass, and dunk by Nyarsuk. Was awesome.
Nyarsuk my MVP of game. Even when he tipped the loose ball out that last time. Great hustle.
I agree. His play down the stretch was smart and he really hustled.
Along with Nyarsuk late, thought Rubles really contributed on both ends. His defense was pretty darned good, and he's the only guy we have that consistently dribbles into the lane with his head up looking to feed the open man. That was what the 'Cats were missing the other night. A crisper, more aggressive 2nd half overall for our guys...tough and gritty Big East win against a good opponent whose coach felt really good about where they were.

As much as we like to complain about our bigs I'd like to see the reaction if we had a 5-star, top 10 recruit play 24 minutes and not even attempt a shot!
25-35 from the line was the difference. That's usually three game's worth of production from the line. Consistently getting to the FT line would help solve some of the offensive woes and make this team that much more difficult to beat.
Another solid game for Not Top 50 PG.

Typical Pittsburgh team. Rugged, rebound the ball well and play great team defense. However make them make shots and get them in one on one defense and they fall apart.

Saw a stat where we had 9 players in double digit minutes and Pitt had 6 players with 24+ minutes. Wore them out the second half. Have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of games like this in the next few months.

Was at the game and had great seats..First half was very hard to watch and I thought we were in big trouble. Great second half.....Very tough place to play and a great road win. Defense was the key. Let's not stumble against St.Johns like we did last year.
