Just freaking sweet. The are some good WVU fans around here but for the most part their fan base is arrogant and annoying. They thought they were a big dog and SU a nobody. Three straight losses to us including this absolute beat down proves otherwise. Loved every minute of it.

I agree completely. Everyone talks about football in nice weather, but the best football games have been played in the snow. IMO, it is more fun to play in the snow, and, as a fan, it is more fun to watch a game in the snow (if you have the stones to handle the weather).

I thought you guys played in a dome? I kid I kid...

I feel that bowl games are meant as a reward and the primary destinations should be in nice weather. However, since the middle to lower grade bowls aren't as much about a reward and more about TV then I don't have a problem with a few more lower grade bowls in cold weather... like today. That was a fun game to watch in almost January between two 7-5 teams.

Good win for Syracuse, you definitely had a good football squad this year. Congrats on going out in style in your last game under the Big East Banner.

All Pitt fans were rooting for Syracuse today. For how great West Virginia supposedly is according to West Virginia fans, it's nice to always be able to point out to them their two most played rivals Syracuse and Pitt both have winning records against them all time. The truth is the ACC got the two best football programs in the Big East. WVU has had a nice little ten year stretch but give it a few more years and both schools will be running circles around West Virginia again like they always have.

I wonder whether these bad weather games might be catching on. The NFL is scheduling the super bowl at Metlife (Meadowlands, NJ) in 2014. The one thing about having the game in bad weather is that NFL scouts will be very interested in seeing how certain players performed as there are plenty of cold weather teams in the NFL.

I think my mom said it best today - that's football. Cold, miserable, sloppy weather is football weather to a lot of us.

Just because its a bowl game or special event doesn't mean the game has to be played in a hospitable climate.

Why did you have to go and pull Cleveland into this? That's like Detroit Part Deux. NYC's prices, hotel costs, and stupid government is bad enough. Cleveland is like hanging an exponent on the fail side of the equation.

I suspect the truth is setting in for many WVU fans.

Their coach is not that good, at all. They are losing their best three players.

Their 7-6 record might be the norm in the Big 12.

They are out on a geographical island in a conference with schools they have little in common.

They have to ship their basketball, baseball and other sports a thousand miles or more for every away game or match.

They will make good money, sure. But, I am not so certain that their programs will thrive.

Reminds me of some funny Cleveland videos.

Thanks guys for the congrats...I only got to see a part of the game...family obligations. But I'm going to sit down and watch it on DVR with a cold beer. Thanks to the fans that respect and realize Cuse is not just a basketball school.
