Anyone watching TX Tech vs. Minny?
Watching mostly for the defense since the rumor is that they are going to take most of the Tech D staff. Minny running up and down the Tech D.

Although it is nice seeing some semblance of an offense after that horrendous Virginia Tech - Rutgers game.

Bowl games are like early season cross conference games, of which there are fewer and fewer good ones all the time.

#1) Glad VT won. Rutgers doesn't get 10 wins. i know it's looks worse for what's left of our conference but i care about one team at this point, and they beat their ACC opponent yesterday.

#2) i was curious about the D. One of the commentators mentioned that the D put a premium on speed vs. size in order to better defend the spread. i get it but we've had issues stopping the run. Need to do better in that regard and, if we are taking some/most/all of the Tech D staff, it certainly gives me pause that they are having trouble stopping a low/mid tier B10 team.

Texas Tech defense is settling in. Minnesota is only averaging 3.7 yards per rush so far this game (111 yards on 30 attempts). That average was higher early on and is dropping.

I thought I read that they started the year great but then were decimated by injuries, particularly on the defensive side.

Let's also keep in mind that these guys know they're out the door tomorrow and probably haven't been dedicated to this game, much the same of what we saw last night from our staff.

i agree that significant amounts of salt are on the menu for this game.

Tech wins. D with an INT in the waning seconds of the game that led to a game winning FG.
