Deadspin has an article up on the Southern Miss fans and boosters and what they had to say to their AD as the football season went down the shitter. It isn't pretty.

It includes ninetysome pages of e-mails they got under a Freedom of Information Act request.

Wow. Just wow.

Judging by what spilled onto the CUSA board, I determined that there were more classless USM fans than I originally thought.

I don't believe there would be too many things that we would be ashamed of.

Wow at some of those emails.

Some heads in their English department should roll as well.

That was one of my thoughts... that I sure hoped that some of those letters were written by fans and supporters, not graduates.

No one can say their fan base isn't passionate. Can't really blame them for objecting to the way their season went, that was inexcusable. Ellis Johnson obviously isn't head football coaching material, USM did the right thing by not bringing him back for another year (can you imagine how that would have gone over? - never mind, we can ---sort of) but, the "good ole boy" network came to his rescue and he's now the DC at Auburn....Go figure...

I hope no one is under the impression that email is a private communications system. Every email you send is completely free and clear on the internet and can be intercepted easily. It's not a phone call. See: David Petraeus

With a pay raise. He'll collect $1.5 million next year for grabbing the ass with both hands and sucking it with Triple-Oreck force.

03-lmfao Classic example of how unfair life can be at times, he was rewarded in a sense, for his "gridiron impotence", where UAB is concerned , we can certainly relate (see the Callaway years)... Glad that Southern Miss cut their losses when they did. Did you say, "Triple-Oreck Force?!" Damn!!!

I can't help but recall the 2 times I called The Zone and brought his name up, how evasive the hosts in the station at the time were to even talk about it/him, other than to say he was a "good friend of theirs."

I did indeed.

Ellis "I Have No" Johnson may rival Herman Frazier as the ultimate poster child for Failing Upward.

The best thing from E-loss's point of view is that his contract wasn't structured to where he would lose his payout if he took another job. He's double paid next season.

Talk about failing upward...

Same here. In fact, mine was shouted in the public forum of Legion Field. I'm pretty sure everyone in Birmingham knew my opinion of Callaway.

Me, too. Including some of his relatives, who happened to be seated behind me at a game at "Lesion" Field while I was doing my monologue.

One of the ladies in the group let me have it with both barrels after the game...Thing was, I wasn't the only one doing any talking in that section, but she locked and loaded on me.
