RE: OK future Big East members, tell me your opinion of this
I have read a lot of garbage stuff at Bleacher Report about the Saints (I usually don't read their college stuff, but google news had the link and I read it. I posted it here to get feedback and probably did a bad job on the title of the thread) but with the Saints stuff I do find some of their stuff enlightening and correct so that makes them worth reading as far as the Saints go.

Here's an overdue "welcome to the board."
There wasn't any way for you to know that Bleacher Report is something that's caused angst among a large segment of the poster base here.

Ditto on the " wanting out" part (and on being sick of the happy-to-be-here posturing).
We're only "stuck" to the extent that we let ourselves be, though. If we had an AD who didn't poormouth his own program, make terrible coaching hires, etc., who's to say how high we could climb? You can't.

if you are referring to Hammond and his hiring of EJ I need to correct you, he was stuck with EJ and it wasn't his doing. I remember Hammond as the USM QB and he is a very good leader who I think will do well in the job. The biggest problems he has are not of his making and the former AD didn't do as great a job as others I have seen. I say give Hammond time, I think he will show up as a very good AD.

Probably a fair comment. Hammond could have spoken up about EJ but I realize he didn't get to make the pick.
According to Giannini, EJ was everyone's #2 choice (with little agreement on #1) and he therefore ranked the highest overall. That sounds like a BS way to do things, though. Committees don't win championships.

Simple.......BE has better football, better basketball, better markets and all three add up to better conference (cuas, mwc) with a bigger contract
