Man, the BE is one tough league. Was the game on national tv?

11-5 or 10-6 might win the league this year. Hell our goal is just to go 8-8 this year. In basketball it is truly a BEast.

Agreed - this league is gonna be brutal. But it will make the teams we send to the tournament all the more battle-tested.

You are right Maize, I think if you pick up a win on the road in this conference especially one in philly that has to say something. We just have to protect our house, and possibly steal a game or two on the road. We have to turn around and go back to philly the 21st. 11-5 just might win this league.

-- suprisingly no....It was on TV in PA and WV......not a bad win for a bball team that one of the Cincy papers just called the most disappointing in the BE (tough league when the most "disappointing team" is riding an 8 game win streak)

Good job West Virginia!

(Of course my motives are selfish as right now we are still in the conference race.) 8-)

I wonder how the "unbalanced" schedules will play into the conference race.

Wow jackson I can't believe a cincy paper would say that. West Virginia and Villanova were the two teams I was scared to see UofL play this season because both teams have great shooters. Ever since that elite 8 game last year you know what WVU is capable of. If you try to out shoot them you will more than likely get buried in the sand. I hope when we go to Morgantown we can avoid the 3's like the first half of the elite 8 game last year. I still can't believe you guys hit that man damn 3's on us last year.LOL This conference right now is very wide open, winning in philly is certainly impressive I must say. Villanova is a very tough team plus you guys came from behind which is even more impressive. I just hope we can go 9-7 in this conference. Especially with our young team who is getting much better I must say. Its been some great BE games so far and alot of them have gone down to the final seconds.

Thats the sign of a veteran team, thats one thing we had last year. Killer instinct and guts is a true sign of a team that has been there before. I'm certainly not looking forward to the game in Morgantown.LOL

It just goes to show you that team ball still wins out. WVU has a well coached team, without any stars, and is capable of beating anyone when they all play together.

-- WVU has had the UL game circled on the calender since practice began...in the WVU locker room...there is a giant poster of the Cardinal players celebrating after the Elite 8 game last March with the words " Remember how it felt" in giant print

From UofL's schedule:
02/25/06 Sat at West Virginia Morgantown, W.V. CBS 1:30 PM

It looks like the whole nation will be viewing the game.
