GameDay: Oakland
With 2 1/2 hours to go on Dec 21, 2012 it looks like the world hasn't ended so there will be a game tomorrow vs. Oakland.

I'm turning into a Wal-Mart Grizzly. They are entertaining! Can we make an offer to Greg Campe--20% pay increase over his current salary and let Murphy become a scout? Please?

Agreed. Also, we need to create some positivity these next two games to maintain our morale as we progress into conference play.
Oakland is a 3 point favorite.

Agree, this is a critical game.
Team needs to bounce back.
The good news was that we bounced back from the Syracuse loss.
However, we only have 36+ hours from UofM to be ready.
Glad the game is at home.

Agreed. This could be a really interesting game too. My 14 year old son and I will be there wearing green. EMU has to win these in state, out of conference games, i.e. U of Detroit too. This really is a must win game for the program.

RE: GameDay: Oakland
I find it funny that a 4-8 team who hasn't beat anyone of note on the road is favored by 3 against a team that's undefeated at home. If we had the same record with the same schedule as Oakland, posters on here would be calling for Murphy's canning. Kampe has money in the bank, but he cannot be happy with getting blown out by Ohio and mediocre Tennessee, plus losing to 4-8 Louisiana Lafayette. I know we wouldn't be if the shoe were on our foot.
This OU team isn't as good as the squads of the last couple years. I don't think it's a must win per se (those only come in MACtion), but this is a very important game for us. We have to maintain our success at home and beat an opponent we are better than...and yes, we are better than this team. They aren't very deep, aren't very big, and don't shoot it very well, outside of one guy, who takes tons of shots (sometimes deep, ill-advised ones). Keep him from doing what Danny Barnes did to us and we should be fine.

Wonder if the folks in Rochester are having these 'grass is GREENER (pun intended) in Ypsilanti' thoughts?
BTW, is there any green grass in Michigan these days?

BTW, a thought before the game.
Next year Bryant will be a PF. He doesn't have SF shooting range.
Ward would be a good SF candidate.
Next year:
Talley and Ross at PG
Harrison and Lee at SG
Ward at SF
Bryant at PF
Riley at C
Those are my first 7.

Five point swing.
If Ross makes he FTs, Oakland doesn't get to break and get the 3 FTs at the other end.

RE: GameDay: Oakland
Still a mess offensively. We looked completely out of sync on that end, yet again.
Oakland settling for outside shots every possession is what's keeping us in this game.
