We're going to be firing (pun intended) talking points back at each other. I'm going to be tapping out of the gun control debate you know my position, and I know yours.

Do I need to put it in more.... ummm... liberal terms?

Gun control is racist: Google "Black Codes"
Gun control is ageist: Older populations are weaker and have a harder time defending themselves in physical confrontations.
Gun control is detrimental to the poor: Lower incomes live in more dangerous communities and cannot pay for body-guards, security systems, etc. like the wealthy.
Gun control diminishes women's rights: Women are weaker physically and cannot defend themselves in a physical confrontation as well as men in general. Also, since men would have a more important role in providing safety it promotes a patriarchal society.

There are a few others out there, but I have a hard time thinking illogically like the Dems.

Automatic handguns (100+ years)?

Any halfway decent machine shop has all the tools to make these weapons already and they'll just be easier to make in the future.

We gonna ban lathes?

Sad thing is, and I wish it was online, one of the gun oriented magazines I used to subscribe to described the perfect "assault" rifle by the definition used back in the 1990's.

It was the Winchester Model 94 .30-30 lever action. Developed in 1894.
