I'd say 3 wins and a Loss at NC State.

Not to rain on the parade, but doesn't Louisiana Tech lose 32 seniors this year? If so, there's some serious rebuilding that need's to be done. Six wins would be a great year.

No one will play La Tech in Ruston unless they are forced through conference membership? Is this a derivative of team strength or location?

It's a few factors, including but not limited to: 1.) Lack of a full service hotel in Ruston and 2.) Airports are 30-70 minutes from the Stadium.

Army was supposed to be in Ruston, but got moved to Dallas because of the Heart of Dallas thing with Britton Banowsky.

Tech has played Mississippi State, Houston, Rice, UNLV, Southern Miss, and Navy in Ruston in the past 5 years.

Texas A&M was played in Shreveport b/c the Ruston stadium only holds 30,000.

You need to attend a game there and decide for yourself. Its certainaly not team strength as that has not been one of Techs assets since moving to top division except maybe this year but remember the schedules are made well ahead of time.

So so OOC. Tech graduated a lot of SRs. I expect them to struggle.

I'm always surprised when I'm reminded Lamar has a football team.

We will be fine next year. We did lose 31 seniors but bring back a lot of talent. Plus when you play teams like UTSA it helps with your win total.02-13-banana

RE: LaTech announces 2013 non-conference football schedule
It's been a few years since I've been there, but back then "The Joe" couldn't be called a premier venue. They've made some upgrades in the past few years but until they build a new pressbox/club level/suites and get their planned endzone complex built they will have to rely on the I-Bowl in Shreveport to offer a larger and better venue.

The Joe is a great venue, you hush your mouth. 01-lauramac2

Facility enhancements will help but I don't think that is going to make SEC teams suddenly want to play in Ruston.

I would love to see Tech give The Joe a major facelift. Starting the endzone facility, replacing the press box, and just updating the facilities would make it a pretty nice venue. I just think that when they built the stadium, they didn't consider anything towards the future.

Actually that's not entirely true. They had plans to enclose the south end of the stadium all along and were close to doing it at one point. Instead, the decision was made to upgrade the pressbox (EDIT: to BUILD the skybox on top of the existing pressbox, that is). In recent years, it was the turf and Dawgzilla.

I agree though, it's past time for a major facelift.

RE: LaTech announces 2013 non-conference football schedule
The Joe has gotten much better since I went to school, but the South Endzone Project needs to be completed and a full service motel would go a long way to making Ruston a great place to watch a game. I love it there but it does need improvements.
