Quality of the BTN
I have to say I've been watching it more over the last few weeks and the production standards are top notch. Just has me more excited for our eventual entry.

RE: Quality of the BTN
Too true. I have Fios. So I get four BTN channels in regular tv format and BTN 1 in highdef. I'm looking forward to watching a whole lot more of our Knights in all sports.

RE: Quality of the BTN
The BTN is part of a special sports package in my area that I had for awhile. However, that package duplicated half the sport channels that I already had and some of the other channels I had no interest in. At the time I also had no strong interest in the Big 10 so I dropped the package and the cost associated with it. Maybe by 2014 the BTN will be on a different tier.

RE: Quality of the BTN
Believe it or not, I actually enjoy the BTN. Esp for games between Iowa and Illinois or NW and Mich State. They def do a great job on those 3rd & 4th Tier games.

That is where I watch most Iowa games. The BTN shows everything regionally. That will be a great tool for Maryland and Rutgers once that whole carriage issue debacle is settled.

First year that I haven't missed a MSU game on tv, thanks to BTN and BTN(alternate).

RE: Quality of the BTN
I hated the Big Ten Network when it formed. Other than the one game on ESPNU the previous year (when ESPN was trying to build the network), we'd never not had a football game on, but thanks to the negotiations between the cable companies and the network, we couldn't watch the first 2 games at home (and if you were a Time Warner customer, you missed all the games on the channel for the whole first year) and I very much blamed the Big Ten for this.

I've mellowed out a lot since then and like the channel now. It's certainly not ESPN quality on broadcast of games (this is most evident with the cameras), but it's gotten better.

Well, to keep things in perspective. The broadcasting situation for many of our teams is different than it is for Ohio State. Some of us depend much more upon the BTN to view our favored teams.

I will miss the BTN when I move down to Louisiana. Going to be very hard for me to catch the Hawkeyes on TV.

It's also a factor of location. Living in Columbus, anything not national/regional was local. If I lived out of state, the Big Ten Network would have added a lot of games I didn't have otherwise.

BTN is very nice. There advanced because they're owned by Fox Sports.

I love BTN. Also love the app too. Great to watch games on the old iPhone when traveling.

Watch ESPN app is also very cool.
