Lol yeah sad part is, you can tell way too easily when you're talking to someone from the forums. Sad day.... It's happened to me more times than I can even count. Even more sad, I've met some of my best friends through this board lol. What's that say about me? Great......

I'd say outside of game day, I met about 4 people that I asked and correctly identified as forum people last week. At least two were lurkers and are probably lurking on this post right now.

I know that look too well. But, the wife meeting Diesel again mitigated things a bit.

LOL I personally am SO happy to have found the board. I was a lurker for almost a year before I actually signed up & started posting.
One of the things I like - any bit of info about NIU football - you will find it here. And it will be on the forum the minute the info is available.
It's also great to be in touch with people who love NIU football as much - or even MORE than I do.
We met HuskiePride 12 and his lady on Dania Beach. He was wearing his MAC Champions T and I spotted it right away.

I agree with whoever said we need to post a meeting place/parking area arrangement for all the away games if possible. It's much more fun to be all together.

One other thing - everybody needs to be promoting the board. I handed out the website to at least half a dozen people...including several students who were at our hotel.

The board meeting was great and it was nice to met some new face! I am in for a met up in Dekalb this fall

Someone should use Vistaprint to make hundreds of small cards that say "Want to talk NIU football? Visit the Dog Pound @ csnbbs.com" or "Talk about NIU Football at the largest NIU message board on the internet - the Dog Pound @ csnbbs.com" and give them out at basketball and football games.

Haha. The look was priceless and it was good to meet you. She actually wanted to look/read the board the next morning believe it or not. It worked out well, now I won't get the question always of what the hell are you reading for hours. She thought it was porn, but she was wrong.

That is actually a pretty great idea! Vista print is so cheap. I may have to do that before football season starts next year. I could maybe even give a few to others to hand out too. Good thinking Lord Stanley!
